Their First Steps to Employment program has 19 transitional housing units to provide a safe and supportive environment for struggling adults. This includes access to an in-house social worker, meals when needed, additional assistance with upgrading education, references, resumes and access to computers. | North Point Douglas Women's Centre, Winnipeg, NPDWC was founded in 2002 to create opportunities for the women and children of North Point Douglas to develop their potential and to engage fully as citizens in their neighbourhood. This location operates a drop-in centre with basic services such as a community telephone, photocopier, fax, a safe place for women and children, refreshments, community access computers, clothing donation and a laundry.
