Robert Filuk, FCA

Robert FilukRobert Filuk was a founding member of the board of the Thomas Sill Foundation. He was initially a governor with the responsibilities of vice-president, and assumed the role of president in 2003. He held that post until his retirement on July 31, 2008.

Mr. Filuk served his community as admirably as he served the Foundation. He was a key volunteer on several boards including the Friends of Elmwood Cemetery, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Manitoba Theatre Centre, Winnipeg Rotary Club, Manitoba Badminton Association, Balmoral Hall School for Girls, Junior Achievement and Philanthropic Foundations Canada.

Mr. Filuk was an early colleague of Thomas Sill in the practice of accounting. He began as a student and became a senior partner. He excelled as an auditor and was rewarded with his contributions to his profession with a Fellow of the Chartered Accountants designation.
